Young Audiences of Oregon & SW Washington
YA on Broadway
Thursday | May 7, 2020 | 7PM
About the Event:
YA on Broadway is going VIRTUAL! Celebrate the magic of arts education and support the work of Young Audiences all from the safety and comfort of home.
During these unprecedented times, our kids are experiencing massive changes in their day-to-day lives that may be difficult or even scary for them. We’re doing everything we can to bring the joy of creativity to our students at home to help them overcome fear, sustain hope, and build resilience. Your support helps make this possible.
How do I participate in the virtual event?
Click on the Livestream button above when the event goes live on Thursday, May 7, 2020. We recommend you tune in with 2 devices (computer/tablet/cell phone) or open 2 tabs in your internet browser. This will allow you to simultaneously watch the livestream program and bid in the mobile bidding platform during the event.
What will the program be like during YA on Broadway?
The livestream broadcast will be a 30- to 45-minute program hosted by our benefit auctioneer Alix Zimmermann and will showcase the impact and power of arts education. We’ll also have some great online auction packages for you to bid on and a special appeal you can donate to—all from the comfort of your couch!
The online auction will open on Monday, May 4, so bidders will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite packages before the livestream event. We will close the online auction on Monday, May 11 at 12PM.

We inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts.
Young Audiences of Oregon was founded in 1958 as a local chapter of the nation’s largest arts-in-education organization. In 1989, the Portland-based organization merged with a smaller chapter in Vancouver to become Young Audiences of Oregon & SW Washington. We have steadily grown in scope and programming, evolving from presenting only classical music performances in our early years to currently offering a full range of educational arts programming in multiple disciplines and cultures—the only arts organization in the region to do so.
